Annual Society Events
The society holds many events and visits throughout the year.
This year we have decided to hold a 'Garden chat and tea' at the newly renovated 'Signal Box Cafe' at The Station in Hollingbourne. No booking needed - just come along.

A charming half acre garden bounded by yew and ivy clad wall. It has a rock garden with a central paradise garden and pond, herbaceous borders and special trees.
The cost of £10 includes delicious homemade cake and tea with the proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme charity.
Numbers are limited to 15.

Visit to RHS Wisley (Free) Sunday 23rd June 10.30am
Another chance to explore more of the magnificent gardens at RHS Wisley, hopefully timing the visit so we get to enjoy the rose collections in full bloom. There is just so much to see….fingers crossed the weather is kind.
Share transport and meet Pat Bristow at the Entrance at 10.30 am to get free entry into the gardens after which it is up to you how you spend your day.
There is a café by the entrance, various food outlets including the World Food Café and Sky Terrace once inside or seats around the gardens to enjoy your own picnic.

Visit to Penn Oast Vineyard, Hollingbourne Saturday 28th September
Come along and find out how Gavin and Julia Davis managed to set up a vineyard in Hollingbourne. Hear all that is involved in the maintenance of the vines along with the winemaking process and how they intend to make their own fine wine.
Sturdy footwear is recommended as the terrain is uneven and may be muddy. Those who wish may find an area to sit in the barn.
Parking is at the bottom of the Vineyard through the 5 bar gate next to Penn Court where there is semi hard standing for 10 + cars.
The cost of £5 includes a sample of English Wine and nibbles.

LEEDS CASTLE GARDEN VISIT AND CASTLE MEAL
The members had an amazing evening at Leeds Castle and were very impressed by both the wonderful garden and the sumptious meal in the castle dining room.
